Give Thanks.

“It is enough”, he said. “Go, children of the Lenape, the anger of the Manitou is not done. Why should Tamenund stay? The pale faces are masters of the earth, and the time of the red men has not yet come again. My day has been too long. ~James Fenimore Cooper.

Give thanks to those who came before, who once lived on the land you now do. Those wiped away so that we could lead lives of industry.  They were no more or less than you, but they were of the Earth and happier.  May they yet come again… and show us what we have never known.

And may past good times, rest in peace.

Goddamn gorgeous. Right on brother!  But it’s not communism as this chap reasons in his text, it’s good old American monopoly capitalism. He just awoke in the corporatocracy in which we live, but misidentified it as something else, something that buzzes around in rumors and distortions on 24 our cable channels.

Thanks Daniel!

Waterloo, Republican hatriot strategy, moron speak
Posted on July 21st, 2009 at 2:55 pm by :(

This guy talks like Sarah Palin and you know freedom that the American people want with family values and a bunch of other keywords randomly thrown in with no sense of grammar or meaning birth certificate, just knee-jerk moron speak drill baby, so it’s no surprise he’s considered a leader of this era’s GOP.

Here’s some other things Demint is all about:

Voted NO on repealing tax subsidy for companies which move US jobs offshore.

Voted NO on shifting $11B from corporate tax loopholes to education.

Voted NO on tax incentives for energy production and conservation.

Voted NO on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives.

Voted NO on $3.1B for emergency oil assistance for hurricane-hit areas.

Voted NO on starting implementation of Kyoto Protocol.

Voted NO on increasing Medicaid rebate for producing generics.

Voted NO on increasing minimum wage to $7.25.

Voted NO on increasing tax rate for people earning over $1 million.

Voted NO on investigating contract awards in Iraq & Afghanistan.

He just votes NO, unless it benefits big corporate power. From ontheissues.org.

The long-beaked echidna, or Zaglossus bartoni, is one of only 3 egg-laying mammals (on this planet).

“Another avianlike feature is the cloaca, the single orifice through which an echidna or platypus voids waste, has sex and lays eggs, and by which the group gets its name. Yet through that uni-perforation, a male echnida can extrude a four-headed penis.”

I could write for days about that, and it would only be a list of facts, gimme a week to include some colorful language. But it really comes down to this right now… take it away Jesse.

Jesse “the body” Ventura, former wrestler, Navy Seal, Governor, and GiJoe figure.

Shot from the payload bay as Atlantis left Earth yesterday afternoon.

When I was little, I thought by the time I was this age I’d have had the chance to go up in space, at least on a cruise ship of some kind, if not actually off to another planet. But most things Carter did either failed or were thwarted, Ronnie Reagan was just a great face for a corporatocracy and all the most powerful forces in the last 30 years have been aligned against any kind of real Human progress.  There usually isn’t much immediate profit in it.  Worse, anti-corporate, progressive forces on the left often oppose the space program citing its elitist beneficiaries or its epic costs that could be applied to fighting poverty.

Even if the World I thought I was born into had come to pass …electric cars, world peace, and round trip flights to Mars, I wouldn’t get to go anyway cause it turns out I have a poor constitution and am legally blind. But big glasses are back in style so I don’t mind.

Well, we can still dream. And watch Star Trek.

Swine flu: the American glutton
Posted on April 27th, 2009 at 12:07 pm by :(

Stop eating so much bacon you giant slob, look what your mindless gluttony hath wrought.

The swine flu virus struck before after WWI, no doubt caused by the industrialization of animal domestication and the wretched conditions it creates.  It has only worsened since then with vast corporate “farms.”

Originally blamed on the Chinese, “the post-WWI flu was brought to Europe by American troops who had been based in the South before they went to war. Medical detectives, still working on the case in the 1990s, determined that a small group of our soldiers took swine flu to Europe and that it spread to the world from there” (from Capitol Century).

So we pump the pigs, full of anti-biotics, viruses mutate, more anti-biotics, repeat. The pigs, which are not naturally pink and hairless (FYI) are an invention of modern human civilization.  Amazingly, these poor animals we call pigs revert to their natural, ancient state within weeks or months of being released in the wild, growing hair and tusks again.  Further, their first litter born in the wild even have a different skeletal structure, the one of their feral ancestors. This should tell even the most blockheaded something - namely that the way we keep and breed these animals is so incredibly unnatural they biologically transform upon being freed, and that is totally blown out. But the insatiable American homunculus, by far the largest over-eater of pigs, keeps them captive in a cycle of disease and mutation. Nature, it seems, has horrifying ways of coping with our gluttony.

As of today, I for one, will never eat swine again… unless I am in the wilderness starving and kill it myself, Lord of the Flies style.  You can only count on making a difference with your pocket book. Stop buying from and supporting this fucked industry.

The tomb of Cleopatra and Mark Antony.
Posted on April 23rd, 2009 at 10:39 am by :(

Temple to the Mother-Goddess Isis, its limestone foundation weathered by millennia.

Archeologists may have finally found the burial site of the infamous Queen and her rebellious lover under a temple built around 300 BC.

“Researchers have found by radar what may be three chambers as deep as 20 meters under the rock. Historians believe, based on the Roman writer Plutarch, that Antony and Cleopatra were buried together.”

The incredible Zahi Hawass, Archeologist, and Secretary General of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities leads the dig with a Dominican Republic scholar who was the first to piece together evidence that pointed to the temple as the renegade tomb.
