Geraldine A. Ferraro the former 1984 Democratic vice presidential candidate and Super delegate pledged to Hilary Clinton has a diseased attitude about this primary race. Her comments about Barack Obama having an advantage as a black man are obviously blown out and she has suffered for it. But, it’s her prehistoric partisan ideas that are most idiotic and if contagious, could be fatal for American political progress.
Her rationale that Obama is not the right candidate for the Democrats is that he appeals to more than just Democrats. Yeah you read that right. She essentially argues for a polarizing candidate to continue the ceaseless partisan war and oneupsmanship that continues to divide the country.
“He won his delegates fair and square, but those delegates represent the wishes not only of grassroots Democrats, but also Republicans and independents.” Yeah, no shit Ferraro.
She’s no better than the likes of Karl “Turdblossom” Rove. What the country (and indeed the World) really needs is exactly a candidate that wins across party lines, the candidate she describes. Barack Obama. That she thinks this is a detriment betrays the putrid waters in the stagnant well of her reasoning.

The losing ticket.
1984 was a decent year, especially if you like Red Dawn and The Muppets Take Manhattan, but we cannot afford to have our politics stuck there.
